| SI announces twelve month 300 tonne contract Stainless International is well on the way to meeting its targets in 2008 after announcing a £750K, twelve month contract, for 300 tonnes of cold rolled narrow strip.
Regular deliveries of stainless steel strip will be scheduled through leading EU producers throughout the year and cut to size using Stainless International’s processing subsidiary, Shear Pro. The final product will be used by a major engineering company in the manufacture and installation of gas turbines.
The year long agreement confirms SI’s reputation and commitment to providing a reliable and consistent delivery of quality stainless steel for large end user clients. SI’s strong supply chain and financial independence gives it the freedom to source through varying market sectors. This contract is an example of that flexibility and it demonstrates SI’s ability to secure not just competitive prices, but also to maintain continuity of supply, which is vital to orders of this nature.
Andrew Holland, managing director of SI said: “This £750K order is proof that as an independent operator we have the logistical control and expertise to deliver precision tolerance products at competitive prices. This contract also secures our status as a business that is consistently reliable and able to deliver large orders at preferential prices over a sustained period. More importantly, the deal enhances SI’s reputation as an alternative to traditional mills and aligned stockholders.” Back to Latest News |
